Description
Outdoor Picnic Restaurants will not have large fancy buildings or kitchen equipment or seating. Instead food will be grilled or rotisserized over a permanent block barbecue grill. Customers will come to the grill area to order, pay, and receive their food. This eliminates a lot of labor costs incurred in a regular restaurant. Seating will be at picnic or patio tables in the open air under the sun or under pergolas or gazebos. With low start-up costs, low fixed expenses, and low labor costs the cost of a meal can be held down to a reasonable figure. Also holding costs down is the simplicity of the menu with two regular entrees served daily and occasional specials served at various times. This restaurant concept can be utilized in all areas of the United States. Different themes can be used for different areas of the country.
